Hangar9 London’s premier fashion boutique celebrates 40 Years of Fashion & Community

September 1, 2025 - London, ON - Hangar9, London’s premier fashion boutique, marks a milestone anniversary: 40 years of style, innovation, and female-led entrepreneurship. Founded by Jo-Ann Fisher in 1985, the brand has grown into a fashion destination with locations in both London and Toronto. To celebrate, the boutique is hosting a commemorative event at its flagship store on September 11, 2025 from 10am to 5pm. 

"It’s been a joy and privilege to help women feel confident through style for four decades" says founder Jo-Ann Fisher. "What started as a small shop has grown into a community – one that celebrates style, confidence, and above all, connection. I’ve always believed that fashion is about more than clothing, it’s about helping people express who they are and how they want to feel. I’ve been proud to grow alongside this city, London has supported me every step of the way."

The anniversary celebration will include a retrospective installation of fashion and memories through the decades, with a special tribute to Jo-Ann’s community initiatives. A limited-edition book Queen of Positivity: The Life and Legacy of Jo‑Ann Fisher chronicling her entrepreneurial journey will be released with proceeds benefiting the Canadian Women’s Brain Health Initiative.
