LONDON UNLOCKED 2026


LONDON UNLOCKED, hosted by Breakfast Meeting for Women, is a one-of-a-kind event showcasing independent local businesses across our great city.

This year’s event is in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area. All funds raised will be donated to this much-needed organization in support of their mission ‘To enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people.

Purple Lips Pie Making Workshop #1

Date: Thursday, April 30, 2026 Time: 6 pm - 8:30 pm

Learn how to create delicious pie fillings and roll pastry from scratch, and wrap it all up by enjoying a slice of pie with coffee! You'll make 2 pies - cherry and apple, which you will take home with the hands-on knowledge of pie making, and a recipe card for making our very own Purple Lips pastry.

Notes: Closed toe shoes are required. Aprons will be provided, or you can bring your own. Cooling and packaging times may affect the end time of this workshop, so be prepared to extend by 20-30 minutes.

Important: Purple Lips Bakery cannot accommodate dietary or allergy restrictions.

Wheel Throwing Workshop & Social

Date: Friday, May 1st Time: 6 pm - 9 pm

Get hands-on with clay in this engaging wheel-throwing experience! In this guided pottery event, participants will learn the basics of using a pottery wheel while creating their own functional pieces. Each participant will craft two handmade cups, perfect for enjoying their beverage of choice. We will then enjoy a social and small bites next door at Palasad. Stay as long as you want and enjoy live music, bowling, darts or billiards. Alcohol and Palasad games are not included in the ticket price. No wheel-throwing experience is required.

Notes: Pieces will be ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks after the event. Wear clothes that can get messy!

Wild Birds Unlimited Twilight Nature Walk

Date: Sunday, May 3rd Time: 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join WBU manager, biologist and resident bird nerd, Jeff Lee and Leigh Shand, wellness coach and nature guide, for an exploratory twilight walk through Woodland Cemetery.  Afterwards, enjoy light refreshments, relaxed conversation and a chance to connect with fellow nature lovers in the Wild Birds Unlimited space.  Jeff and Leigh will be available for questions, and the store will be open for a private shopping experience. Everyone will go home with a special WBU gift.

Notes: Event is rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the elements. We will be walking outdoors on uneven surfaces.

Cinco de Mambo Fiesta!

Date: Monday, May 4, 2026 Time: 6 pm - 10 pm

Dance the night away at our Cinco de Mayo-themed salsa night, blending Mexican festive elements with Latin dance vibes. Begin your evening with a sumptuous dinner experience, followed by engaging salsa dance lessons, and conclude the night with a lively party featuring beats by a talented DJ. Drinks available for purchase. Fully accessible location. Dance partners not required.

Jukebox Bingo with DJ OneManWeave

 Date: Tuesday, May 5th Time: 7 pm - 10 pm

Guaranteed to be a fun night, our fan favourite event is back. Jukebox Bingo is Name That Tune meets karaoke meets dance party! A live DJ mixes a non-stop mix of retro tunes, radio hits and classic sing-alongs. Players dab songs on their bingo cards to win prizes! Food & beverages are available to purchase. Come early for dinner though, as it's hard to eat and play. Group tables should be reserved ahead.

A Night at the Races and Cocktail Class with the Midnight Mixologist

 Date: Friday, May 8th Time: 5.30 pm -7 pm

Join Sean, the Midnight Mixologist, for an intimate cocktail class before enjoying small bites and the horse races at the Top of the Fair. This is a 19+ event with very limited availability in the VIP lounge. Learn to make Margaritas and Brown Derbies. Tickets include your crafted cocktails, nibbles, and premier viewing of the night's races. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. Note: Races continue until 10pm, following the conclusion our experience.

Petals & Porcelain: High Tea & Floral Experience

 Date: Saturday, May 9th Time: 1 pm - 3 pm

Spend the afternoon in the Historic Idlewyld Inn & Spa and enjoy delicious tea, savoury and sweet delights and an interactive floral experience with a gift for each guest to take home. Cash bar will be available. The main entrance is accessible, and there is an elevator. Ramp is also available, as the entrance to the wine cellar has three steps. Note: ticket price includes taxes and gratuity for the tea/meal. Dietary restrictions will be noted at time of ticket purchase.

Date: Wednesday, May 13, 2026 Time: 5 pm - 9.30 pm

Your ultimate Come From Away evening begins with a 3-course dinner inspired by the music and culture of Newfoundland at the brand new Keystone space above the Church Key. Then, cross the street to enjoy the legendary musical, followed by an AfterWords panel discussion with the cast! Beverages available for purchase. Ticket price includes taxes and gratuity for the meal.

Note: The Keystone space is NOT accessible.  There is no elevator.  Guests must be able to walk up one flight of stairs.
