Here at CNIB we are gearing up for a host of friendship and fundraising activities as part of Vision Awareness Month in May. The Greek Canadian Club is hosting a free lunch on our behalf to help us share the CNIB message. This Community Leaders Luncheon will take place at the Greek Canadian Centre on Sarnia Road on Wednesday, May 5th.  It really is a free lunch that will be filled with great information on vision health and and ways to prevent vision loss. A free lunch  serving up great food, inspiring stories and priceless information.

..a couple of vision facts for you..

• Someone in Canada suffers life altering vision loss every 12 minutes.
• 75% of all vision loss is preventable. The key is knowing what to do.
• Less than 10 percent of our clients are actually blind.. but the number relying on our services continues to grow.
• Less than 30% of our services are government funded, the rest comes from individual and corporate donations.

Please consider bringing interested colleagues or friends and we’ll open your eyess to the important work of the CNIB. We’ll introduce you to Jason Lamont, a 10 year old boy whose Mom will tell you is just a “normal kid” except he’s blind.
